Radon is a radioactive gas that has no odor, color or taste, making it a very dangerous type of fume. This gas has turned out to be one of the main reasons why people suffer from lung cancer.

In order to get rid of radon from your house, you need to hire a certified inspector, who will be able to test the air with professional equipment. Now, where are two types of tests that can be conducted; short term and long term.

Short term testing involves you testing if testing is necessarily needed at your house. You can do this by using an activated charcoal based ion to measure radon levels in the previous seven days and then send the test to a lab.

Long term testing, on the other hand, is done in the same way but shows you radon levels in the previous ninety days. There is also the continuous radon testing in which electric motors as plugged into an outlet. This measures radon levels for as long as necessary.
